Call me a dreamer, but I'm convinced that achieving one's full potential is still a goal worth striving for—that excellence is still worth pursuing even if most yawn and few sneer. And, yes, even if I should fail occasionally while reaching, failure, remember, is not the crime.
– Chuck Swindoll

About the Founder

Romy Baylon

Founder

President/CEO

Like millions of Filipinos, Mr. Baylon has taken the route of employment abroad to begin his career in the hospitality industry. As a young overseas worker, he briefly worked in the State of Kuwait in the Arabian Gulf before coming to the United States three decades ago. Prior to founding Queven, LLC, he held various management and executive positions in operations, food & beverage and sales & marketing in various hotels in Southern California; he was the Director of Security of a 5-Star hotel in Beverly Hills during the 1984 Olympics; and served as a School Board Member of a private school in the City Downey. Working for one of the most prestigious private clubs in the United States for almost a decade, he had the privilege of surrounding himself with the movers & shakers of the business and political community of Los Angeles and the State of California.

In 2009, he fulfilled a life-long vision to establish a business based in the Philippines to serve the continuing and growing desires of many skilled workers and professionals to achieve their dreams of a new life in Canada. As word-of-mouth would have it, his operation expanded to non-Filipinos alike. In this technology-driven society, Mr. Baylon believes that there is one thing people will look for in any service-oriented industry…human connection! This is the passion he brings to the business.

He is an accomplished author having published two books; You! Listen to Me (2000 Silang, Cavite, Philippines), deals with the realities Filipinos face while chasing the so-called American Dream and Building a Strong Christian Family Foundation (2003 Victoria, BC Canada), a narrative about understanding the realities that confounds the family, and clearly illustrating the complementary roles of each member.

As a resource speaker, he toured the Philippines in the late 90’s and conducted lectures in entrepreneurship and network marketing. He was also appointed Chief of Staff of a local political candidate during this time. He has undergraduate studies in management from the University of the East, Manila and psychology from Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia.

In 2005, his family founded the Love Thy Neighbor Mission to do religious and community works in the underprivileged areas of Silang, Cavite. He has four grown children and two grandchildren. He resides with his family in West Covina, California.
