Frequently Asked Questions Practicing your profession in Canada
How far back of my work experience would I have to indicate in my resume? Only the last 10 years of your work experience will be used to check for your qualification. However, if you get passed the assessment and into the application stage, you experience since age 18 will be required.
I have immediate family members living in Canada; will this help me qualify for immigration? Yes, it will help you not only for the adaptability section of assessment test but having someone you know and trust to assist in your transition to your new environment will be most beneficial.
Is there an age limit to submit application? There are 6 factors used to determine your eligibility to the Federal Skilled Worker Class; education, work experience, age, IELTS score, adaptability, and arranged employment. You must score at least 67 points out of 100 on your assessment test to qualify. You get the full points allocated for this factor if you are within 21-49 years of age.

Do I need to have a job offer before applying for the Federal Skilled Workers program? How do I know if my occupation is one of the qualifying occupations? You may look at the 38 qualifying occupations. If you cannot find your specific occupation, you may submit you comprehensive resume for evaluation. We will get back with you in a timely manner and let you know if your occupation is listed as one of the qualifying occupations.
How do I know I’m eligible for the program? In order for us to determine your eligibility for the Federal Skilled Worker Class program, kindly submit your comprehensive resume for evaluation. We will get back with you in a timely manner after we have reviewed your submission.
Why do you request for both husband and wife to submit resume? We ask husband and wife to submit their resumes to see whose experience has the most chance of qualifying for the program. The person that gets the most points in the assessment will be the principal applicant while the other as dependant.
What is IELTS? English Efficiency Language Tests Systems (IELTS) is a measurement of your comprehension to the English language. Only the Principal applicant is required to take this test. If you remember when we did your online assessment test, the question about Language was asked. You were rated on the assessment based on the answers you gave during the online test. That’s how you rated yourself…that’s your knowledge is on the English language. IELTS will give true picture of your language ability according to your profession.
I already know and understand the English language, why do I have to take IELTS? Foreign applicants coming from non-English speaking countries are required to take English proficiency tests to determine their adaptability to Canada.

What is the Federal Skilled Worker Class program? The Federal Skilled Worker Class program is a direct permanent residency offered to foreigners who meets qualifying factors outlined in the Ministerial Instructions. Qualified applicants and their family members will be allowed to migrate to Canada even without approved offer of employment.
What’s the guarantee that my application will be approved? Out of the hundreds of resume we receive, we consider only about 25% of this submission active and qualified for the Federal Skilled Worker Class. Can I submit my resume for employment? Queven Consultancy is not employment agency. Practicing your profession in Canada:
Do I have to take my board exam to practice in Canada? Yes, you have to have proper credentials to be able to practice your profession. Canada is allowing foreign workers to practice their profession in their own country; it’s just right that you be properly accredited and licensed to perform your work.
Why can’t I just practice my profession immediately after I arrive in Canada? Even if you have a job offer, you still have to pass State regulated licensing prior to getting your desired position. Some hospitals may allow an RP licensed nurses to work as assistants until their proper licensing is obtained. After passing your board exam, you may be offered your rightful positions.
